Welcome to Kids Book Club

You are viewing the Kids Book Club which features books that were nominated for the Texas Bluebonnet Award during 2009-2010.

WE are keeping the resources here to share with anyone who wishes to use them. Please feel free to explore our other book clubs, school library page, or the ECDC Library wiki which has a lot of cool things for kids and teachers. Just click on one of the button below.

Hey Kids, welcome to our wiki page! This is a place for you to talk about the books you are reading and share comments and thoughts about your books.
Tell us if you liked your book and why. Explain why you would or would not recommend this book to a friend. Tell everyone what it was about the story that really got you thinking, dreaming, believing, changing, laughing, angry, sad, frustrated or wanting more!

There are no grades or projects due-read for the LOVE of reading-just for fun! Read, enjoy, and share with others.
Hear about new books that have just come out or old favorites too. View a book trailer or create your own digital book talk.
Ms. Murphy will show you how easy it is to bring technology into our learning.

We love learning too, so we've added some extra page links to things we like to do and learn about. See the newest section "Travel back in time".
OK, then. Ready, set, go......start exploring. Helpful tip: Read the section below to help you "navigate" or move through the wiki.

Kids Book Club is a wiki designed to integrate technology into classroom and library learning experiences.

How does this wiki work?

This is the "home" page which welcomes you and explains the purpose of our wiki.

On the left side of the screen are "page links" that will take you to other sections of our wiki. One link is for our Bluebonnet Book Club.
This page is filled with information about Texas Bluebonnet Nominees and the Bluebonnet voting process. Students are able to post discussions about the Bluebonnet books they are reading. Take a few moments to click on each page link and explore.

At the top of each page are tabs: Home Page Discussion History Notify Me
Click on each tab to explore and gain a better understanding of each tab's purpose.

Who is the contact person?

I am Ms. Murphy. I will monitor this wiki and supervise the book discussions. If you have any questions please feel free to contact me by clicking on the "notify me" tab located at the top of this page.
